Ring and Kidde Partner to Launch Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms
The new devices, integrating Ring technology, will provide app-based alerts and optional professional monitoring, with availability starting in April 2025.
- Amazon's Ring and fire safety company Kidde have announced a collaboration to release smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
- The devices connect to Wi-Fi and the Ring app, enabling users to receive alerts for smoke, carbon monoxide, and low battery notifications directly on their phones.
- Two models are available: the Kidde Smart Smoke Alarm ($54.97) and the Kidde Smart Smoke and CO Alarm ($74.97), both featuring hardwiring with battery backup.
- An optional $5/month professional monitoring service will allow emergency services to be alerted directly when an issue is detected.
- The alarms are set to launch on April 2, 2025, at The Home Depot, with additional retailers to follow later in the year.
