Ring and Kidde Partner to Launch Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms

The new devices, integrating Ring technology, will provide app-based alerts and optional professional monitoring, with availability starting in April 2025.

Amazon's Ring and fire safety company Kidde have announced a collaboration to release smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
The devices connect to Wi-Fi and the Ring app, enabling users to receive alerts for smoke, carbon monoxide, and low battery notifications directly on their phones.
Two models are available: the Kidde Smart Smoke Alarm ($54.97) and the Kidde Smart Smoke and CO Alarm ($74.97), both featuring hardwiring with battery backup.
An optional $5/month professional monitoring service will allow emergency services to be alerted directly when an issue is detected.
The alarms are set to launch on April 2, 2025, at The Home Depot, with additional retailers to follow later in the year.
