Rimac Unveils Autonomous Electric Taxi Service 'Verne'

The new robotaxi service, named after Jules Verne, aims to launch in Zagreb by 2026 with plans for global expansion.

Verne's autonomous taxis are equipped with Mobileye's cameras, radar, and lidar for navigation.
The vehicles feature a passenger-centered design with no steering wheel or pedals and a 43-inch display for entertainment.
Verne aims to create a seamless ride-hailing experience through a bespoke app allowing users to customize their ride.
The service will be supported by 'Mothership' facilities for daily maintenance, cleaning, and charging of the taxis.
Verne has agreements with 11 cities and is negotiating with over 30 others for future deployments.
