Rijiju Lays Foundation Stone for Delhi Assembly’s Paperless e-Vidhan Project
The project readies the Assembly for its first fully digital Monsoon Session in July, boosting transparency, efficiency and sustainability.

- On June 14, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju laid the foundation stone for the e-Vidhan project at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, attended by Speaker Vijender Gupta.
- A tripartite MoU signed in June made Delhi the 28th legislature to adopt the National e-Vidhan Application with over ₹9 crore in funding from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
- Speaker Vijender Gupta’s April study tour to the Odisha Legislative Assembly informed Delhi’s implementation, drawing on Odisha’s experience with a fully paperless NeVA system.
- The Assembly is set to conduct its July Monsoon Session entirely on tablets, eliminating printed documents and streamlining legislative workflows.
- Complementary sustainability efforts include a 500-kW solar power installation aimed at supporting the Assembly’s shift to renewable energy.
