- Ontario Provincial Police say the man was arrested in the Rideau Lakes area on Sept. 26 following the launch of the investigation around 9 a.m.
- Police listed 14 charges, including attempted murder, sexual assault on a person under 16 causing bodily harm, and sexual interference.
- Additional counts include two each of forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm by choking, and uttering threats, as well as intimidation.
- The OPP did not release the accused’s name to protect the identity of potential victims.
- An OPP news release announced the charges on Saturday, and the case will proceed before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville; Rideau Lakes is about 100 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.
