Richmond Police Announce Arrests in Coalter Street Killing, Indictments in Separate Fairfield Court Homicide

Police cite multi-agency work as investigations advance in two spring Richmond homicides.

  • Michael Caballero, 32, and Brian Jackson, 32, have been charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the May 31 killing of K-Ron Washington on Coalter Street.
  • Jackson was arrested in Newport News on Aug. 19 and served with indictments on Aug. 20, while Caballero was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Sept. 11 and served with indictments on Sept. 30.
  • Washington was found with gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of Coalter Street and later died at a hospital, according to Richmond Police.
  • Twaneka Morman, 30, was indicted on Oct. 6 on murder and firearm charges in the April 12 killing of Antonio Roane in Fairfield Court, with Tiffany Wright, 34, and Ramel Thompson, 27, indicted for maliciously shooting into an occupied vehicle.
  • Thompson also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a violent felon, and detectives continue to seek tips through Major Crimes contacts and Crime Stoppers’ P3 Tips app.
