Richard Simmons Disavows Unauthorized Biopic Starring Pauly Shore

Despite Simmons' Disapproval, Production Company Plans to Proceed with the Film

Fitness guru Richard Simmons has disavowed an upcoming biopic in which he is portrayed by actor Pauly Shore, stating that he never gave his permission for the movie.
The biopic is being developed by The Wolper Organization, a subsidiary of Warner Bros, which has stated that it plans to proceed with the movie despite Simmons' disapproval.
Shore is also set to portray Simmons in an unrelated short film, 'The Court Jester', which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
Simmons, known for his energetic fitness videos and TV appearances in the 1980s and 90s, has lived a reclusive life since 2014.
Shore has expressed excitement about the biopic, stating that he believes Simmons' story needs to be shared with the world.
