Overview

• ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ will serve as the Opening Night Gala and international premiere of the 69th BFI London Film Festival on October 8 at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
• Rian Johnson returns to write, direct and produce the film through his T-Street banner, with Ram Bergman credited as producer.
• Daniel Craig reprises his role as private detective Benoit Blanc in what Johnson calls Blanc’s most dangerous case yet.
• The festival runs October 8–19 and will unveil its full programme on September 3, with partner cinemas across the UK hosting simultaneous previews.
• Following its London premiere, the film will debut globally on Netflix on December 12, 2025.
