Rhys Hoskins Joins Milwaukee Brewers on Two-Year Contract

Former Phillies First Baseman to Fill Significant Role in Brewers' Lineup Following Recovery from ACL Injury

Rhys Hoskins, former Philadelphia Phillies first baseman, has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $34 million contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Hoskins, who turns 31 in March, has been a consistent run producer among first basemen in the National League since becoming a full-time player in 2018.
He missed all of 2023 after tearing his ACL in his left knee during spring training.
In his six previous years, Hoskins had been a consistent presence in the middle of Philadelphia's lineup, averaging 30 home runs in his four full seasons and posting a career OPS 25% above league average.
The Brewers had a strong season in 2023, winning the NL Central with a 92-70 record before getting eliminated by Arizona in their Wild Card Series.
