Overview

  • Applications for the 2026 session opened on June 3 and will close on July 23, covering two- to three-year postgraduate study at Oxford.
  • Currently six scholarships are awarded annually to Indian students, four to Chinese candidates and 21 to African applicants.
  • Sir Richard Trainor highlighted low per-capita scholar rates in these regions and outlined plans to increase awards by 2028.
  • The trust will launch a fundraising campaign to secure endowment growth for new scholarships’ tuition and living costs.
  • Each year the program grants 106 fully funded scholarships to students aged 18–23 (and up to 27 in special cases) based on academic excellence and leadership.
