Evan Sims, 41, made bomb threat comments during a flight from Orlando to Providence after his girlfriend broke up with him.
The flight was diverted to Jacksonville, where no bomb was found after a search by bomb detection dogs.
Sims has been in custody since his arrest on December 6, 2023, and pled guilty in March 2024.
He was ordered to pay $25,478 in restitution to Breeze Airways as part of his sentence.
