  • He was initially charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, with a $5,000 bond set.
  • At a subsequent court appearance, Martinez was charged as a fugitive from justice, assigned an additional $250,000 bond, and now awaits extradition to Rhode Island.
