RH Unveils Seven-Story Paris Flagship on the Champs-Élysées

The flagship positions RH as a design-led destination that fuses commerce with culture.

Overview

  • The gallery spans seven levels and about 42,000 square feet, uniting furniture showrooms with a design studio, a rare-book library, two restaurants, a bar and a rooftop.
  • Visitors enter through gilded gates and a limestone, hedge-lined path to original bronze doors, creating the avenue’s only non–street-facing public entry.
  • Foster + Partners delivered key interventions including a glass-encased design pavilion, the curved enclosure for Le Jardin RH and a disappearing glass-and-brass rooftop lift.
  • Curation features a circa-1521 printing of VitruviusDe Architectura alongside art such as a bronze figure attributed to Louis-Félix Chabaud and floor-specific installations by artists including Thomas Junghans.
  • A high-profile opening during Paris Design Week drew Zoe Saldaña, Catherine Deneuve, Ellen DeGeneres and Theo James, reinforcing CEO Gary Friedman’s vision-led positioning for the brand.
