RGNUL Opens Registration for National Consumer Law Moot 2026

The contest steers students into cutting-edge consumer law questions in India’s digital economy.

Overview

  • The competition is organized by RGNUL’s Moot Court Committee and CCCPL in collaboration with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
  • Registration closes on January 15, 2026, memorials are due February 1, preliminaries run online on February 7, and advanced rounds are scheduled for February 20–21.
  • The event follows a hybrid design with online prelims, but outlets differ on whether the advanced rounds are on campus or online, so teams should confirm with RGNUL.
  • Only 32 teams can enter on a first-come basis, there is no fee for prelims, and ₹6,000 plus GST is payable only after qualifying for the advanced rounds.
  • Eligibility limits entries to one three-member team per institution of bona fide LL.B. students, and cash prizes total ₹1,00,000 including ₹40,000 for the winning team.
