Overview

• Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Yakuza 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties launch together on February 12, 2026 across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PS4 and PC via Steam.
• Players will be able to choose either the Kiwami 3 remake or the Dark Ties spin-off upon starting the software, according to RGG Studio.
• Dark Ties focuses on Yoshitaka Mine’s origins in Kamurocho and highlights his bond with ex-convict Tsuyoshi Kanda, expanding his role beyond the original Yakuza 3.
• Hands-on previews report Mine-specific mechanics such as chest-springboard aerial attacks and a Dark Awakening overdrive that unlocks as he fights.
• Kiwami 3 moves to the Dragon Engine, adds Kiryu’s Ryukyu Style with Okinawan-inspired weapons, restores and expands side content, and includes some character recasts like Rikiya’s model based on actor Sho Kasamatsu.
