A 79-year-old retired school employee, Sue Ann Asch, has been arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
The investigation began in September, the same month Asch retired from her position at Kalkaska Middle School in Michigan.
Michigan State Police seized several electronic devices from Asch's home for analysis.
Asch faces a charge of accosting children for immoral purposes, which could lead to a four-year jail term.
Asch is currently held on a $5,000 bond, with her next court appearance scheduled for February 12.
