Overview
- A reported JPC retailer listing circulated online on Monday claiming a special physical edition of Rodrigo’s song “expectations” featuring Chappell Roan could appear on Friday, October 16.
- The listing quickly spread across X and other social channels, producing strong fan excitement and calls to stream or buy the rumored edition.
- Neither Olivia Rodrigo nor Chappell Roan or their representatives have publicly confirmed the listing or its details, so the report remains unverified.
- Billboard noted an Instagram Story from Rodrigo that included what some listeners said sounded like Roan’s voice, a tease that intensified speculation about a collaboration.
- Key unknowns include whether the physical edition will include new vocals from Roan and whether an official announcement will arrive before the cited October 16 date, so fans should watch artists’ channels and retailer pages for confirmation.
