Overview
- The fifth Red Sea International Film Festival runs Dec. 4–13, 2025, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- The screening places Muzaffar Ali’s 1981 drama, celebrated for Rekha’s National Award-winning performance, in the Treasures strand devoted to restored classics.
- The 4K restoration was completed by India’s National Film Development Corporation and National Film Archive of India under the National Film Heritage Mission.
- Other Treasures selections include Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound, Luc Besson’s The Big Blue, and a silent-comedy program accompanied live by Neil Brand.
- Two Egyptian classics by Ahmed Badrakhan, restored in 4K by the Red Sea Film Foundation with Egypt’s Media City, will also screen in the section.
