Rescue Team Saves Dogs Stranded in Massive California Park Fire

Emergency responder Trevor Skaggs ran 1.5 miles through fire-ravaged terrain to rescue a Rottweiler and her puppies.

The Park Fire has burned over 360,000 acres and forced thousands to evacuate.
A resident's truck broke down during the evacuation, leaving two adult dogs and four puppies behind.
Trevor Skaggs was flown in by helicopter and ran through the fire zone to reach the stranded animals.
The mother and her puppies were found alive but exhausted and dehydrated; the father dog did not survive.
The rescued dogs are now in the care of the North Valley Animal Disaster Group.
