• Officials confirmed a Oct. 7 collision in the 25000 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu in which a vehicle struck a parked car and the driver was taken to a hospital by LA County Fire.
• NBC4 Los Angeles identified the driver as Gene Simmons, 76, and reported his SUV careened across several lanes before the impact.
