Reports Point to Feb. 25 Galaxy S26 Unpacked in San Francisco, With March 11 Sales

Industry reporting indicates Samsung is prioritizing the Ultra model for early shipments.

Overview

  • Dealabs and other outlets report the Unpacked event is slated for Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. PT in San Francisco, with retail sales expected to begin March 11.
  • Fresh Korea-sourced reports say mass production starts this month and the Galaxy S26 Ultra will dominate initial allocations, estimated at roughly six times other models.
  • Following the reported cancellation of the slim S26 Edge, The Elec says Samsung revived the S26 Plus with largely reused S25 Plus hardware, including a 6.66–6.7-inch display, 4,900mAh battery, and 45W charging, with Qi2 support likely.
  • A Thinborne case listing and CAD-based leaks suggest slightly more rounded corners for the Ultra, a new rear layout with a pill-shaped triple-lens island plus two sensors, and a possible orange color option.
  • Leaked Geekbench entries list SM-S948 (Ultra) and SM-S942 (Plus) with 12GB RAM on Android 16 and show the Ultra scoring lower than the Plus, while separate reports flag testing of a 24MP camera mode and charging upgrades such as Qi2 across the line and a potential ~60W wired boost for the Ultra.
