Report: Bayern Plan Permanent Nicolas Jackson Deal After First Goal on Loan

TBR Football reports Bayern have told the loanee they want a permanent move even if his 40-start buy clause is not triggered.

Overview

  • Jackson scored his first Bayern goal and added an assist in a 5-1 Champions League win at Pafos, completing the full 90 minutes.
  • According to TBR Football, Bayern have informed Jackson they intend to keep him beyond this season even if the contractual obligation to buy is not met.
  • The loan carries a fee just over £14 million and an obligation of about £56 million that activates only if he makes 40 starts, which TBR says is unlikely given rotation and his AFCON commitments.
  • Vincent Kompany started Jackson with Harry Kane dropping into a deeper role, and the pair each recorded two goal contributions in Cyprus.
  • Jackson said he feels at home in Munich, while Football Insider notes Chelsea face striker decisions after Liam Delap’s injury and limited trust in Marc Guiu.
