Overview

• A 64-year-old man was stabbed without provocation around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28 while loading purchases in the Canadian Tire parking lot near 96 Street and 162 Avenue.
• Witnesses provided a description that helped officers locate the suspect on an Edmonton Transit Service bus near Castle Downs Road and 104 Street.
• Police identified the accused as 33-year-old Nathan Joshua Piche, who faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
