Renowned TV Editor Doug Ibold Passes Away at 83

Emmy-nominated Ibold, known for his work on 'Law & Order' and 'Magnum, P.I.', succumbed to cancer.

Doug Ibold, renowned editor of 'Law & Order' and 'Magnum, P.I.', passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 83 after battling cancer.
Ibold's career spanned several decades, during which he worked on numerous TV shows and films, including 'Miami Vice', 'Xena: Warrior Princess', and 'Drug Wars: The Cocaine Cartel'.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ibold was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and began his career at WTVT-TV in Tampa Bay.
Ibold received an Emmy nomination for his work on the 1992 miniseries 'Drug Wars: The Cocaine Cartel' and was awarded the ACE Career Achievement Award in 2012.
He is survived by his brother Robert Ibold, nieces and nephews, and their families.
