Renowned Russian couture designer Valentin Yudashkin dies at 59

Valentin Yudashkin, a Russian fashion designer, has died at the age of 59..
He was known for flamboyant evening gowns and redesigning Russia's military uniforms.
Yudashkin dressed Raisa Gorbacheva, the wife of Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, in the late 1980s.
He became a Russian icon in the 1990s, styling national Olympic and soccer teams and redesigning 85 parade uniforms for all the branches of Russia's armed forces.
Yudashkin was influenced by his early years working in theatres to produce costumes from cheap materials.
