Renowned Pianist and Conductor Peter Nero Dies at 89

Peter Nero, a famed pianist, composer, and conductor known for blending genres, has passed away.
He was known for his energetic and charismatic performances as well as his interpretations of pop songs through classical and jazz.
Nero served as conductor of the Philly Pops orchestra for over 30 years and aimed to match the popularity of the Boston Pops.
He won a Grammy award and released numerous albums, performing with legendary singers like Frank Sinatra and Mel Torme.
Nero passed away from natural causes in Florida at the age of 89.
