Renowned Biographer Caro Pledges to Complete Landmark LBJ Series Despite Editor's Death

Robert Caro says the passing of his longtime editor Robert Gottlieb will cause limited delays in finishing the final volume of his biography of Lyndon B. Johnson.
No publication date has been announced for the fifth and last book in Caro's The Years of Lyndon Johnson series.
Caro and Gottlieb collaborated for over 50 years, including on Caro's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography The Power Broker.
Caro's books are renowned for their depth of research and often exceed 600 pages, taking a decade or more to complete.
The final Johnson volume is one of the most anticipated books in American historiography.
