RENIEC Runs Free DNIe Drives Today in Los Olivos and Tambillo, With More Set for Chota and Tacna

The drives prioritize vulnerable residents to speed Peru’s move to the secure DNIe.

Overview

  • Los Olivos offers 40 free slots from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. outside the Municipal Veterinary clinic beside the district palace for minors up to 17 and adults 60 or older.
  • Tambillo holds its free day in the municipal auditorium starting at 8:30 a.m., directed to minors and adults 60 or older.
  • RENIEC schedules additional free campaigns for December 15 in Querotoco, Chota (Cajamarca) and December 16 in Alto de la Alianza, Tacna, with the Tacna event running from 8:30 a.m. to noon for minors, people with disabilities and adults 60 or older.
  • Available services include first-time issuance, inscription to the DNIe, renewals by caducity, duplicates, address changes, photo updates and rectifications, with minors required to attend with a parent or legal guardian and limited slots encouraging early arrival.
  • The push follows the nationwide migration to the DNIe launched on August 28, 2025, during which the 2025 fee is S/30 with exemptions such as for permanent disabilities, and RENIEC reiterates PIN confidentiality plus loss or theft reporting to the National Police before annulling digital certificates.
