The push prioritizes vulnerable residents, reinforcing PIN confidentiality for the chip‑based DNIe 3.0.

  • RENIEC published a region‑by‑region schedule extending free DNIe campaigns through mid‑November, covering areas such as Amazonas, Ayacucho, Junín, Arequipa, Apurímac, San Martín, Pasco, Ica, Huánuco, Ucayali and Cusco.
  • Newborns and babies under eight months can obtain a first DNI free of charge at any RENIEC office throughout 2025.
