Reniec Confirms Free Electronic DNI Campaign in Ventanilla for October 31

Reniec warns against sharing DNI photos to prevent identity fraud and directs suspected victims to report to the ANPD at gob.pe/9271.

Overview

  • Reniec confirmed Friday that a free electronic DNI event will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Plaza Cívica de Pachacutec in Ventanilla.
  • The campaign will provide six no-cost services including first-time registration, renewals for expired DNIs, image and data rectifications, duplicates, changes of civil status, and changes of domicile.
  • Reniec limits the free benefit to local residents and lists eligible groups and documents: children 0–17, adults 18–59 with a current Sisfoh ficha classified as poor or extreme poor, adults 60+ with a utility bill, and people with disabilities with a CONADIS card.
  • Reniec and the Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales warned citizens not to share photographs of their DNI because images can be used for identity theft, and they advise gathering evidence and filing reports through the government portal gob.pe/9271.
  • The Unidad Local de Empadronamiento of the Municipalidad de Ventanilla will support the operation as part of a wider Reniec rollout that seeks to expand ID access for underserved communities across multiple regions.
