Renfe to Replace Trains With Buses at A Coruña From Nov. 5–12

ADIF works at the A Coruña terminal will block rail movements, forcing Renfe to run road transfers that will lengthen journeys for regional and long‑distance passengers.

Overview

  • Renfe announced Wednesday that between Nov. 5 and Nov. 12 it will substitute rail services with buses on routes linking A Coruña and Santiago because ADIF will carry out station works that are incompatible with train circulation.
  • The substitution covers Regional, Media Distancia, Avant and Alta Velocidad services serving connections to Vigo, Ourense and Madrid‑Chamartín and also affects Media Distancia trains between A Coruña and Betanzos‑Infesta.
  • Renfe has published a list of specific trains that will not run from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11, including Avant 9090, MD 9103, Avant 9131, MD 9142, Avant 9550 and a set of regional services such as 12451 and 12590.
  • The company warned that the last services on Nov. 4 and the first trains the morning of Nov. 12 may also be altered for rolling‑stock positioning and urged passengers to check updated timetables before travel.
  • To reduce disruption Renfe is operating an alternative road‑transport plan and allowing free changes or refunds, but travelers should expect longer trip times, altered stops and knock‑on effects for cross‑regional connections.
