Renault’s Valladolid Factory to Reinstate Night Shift Bonus in August

Strong demand for Renault’s Captur alongside Symbioz reflects the impact of upgraded E-Tech hybrid engines.

Overview

  • Starting in week 34 of August 2025, the factory will reintroduce its night shift bonus with daily activity rising gradually to 15% above current levels.
  • Renault plans to hire over 300 new staff, primarily production operators and forklift drivers, to fill rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts.
  • The Valladolid Body Shop will adjust its output to supply parts needed for the higher assembly volume.
  • Since 2012, the Captur has maintained its lead in Europe’s urban crossover segment with more than 2.4 million units produced.
  • The plant began producing the Symbioz in 2024 and recently upgraded both models with a 160-HP full hybrid E-Tech engine to cut emissions and boost power.
