Renault Unveils Sixth-Generation Clio at IAA Mobility With New Hybrid, Tech and Safety Overhaul

  • The redesigned model grows to 4.12 m in length with a wider track, a lower coupé-like roofline and wheels up to 18 inches.
  • The E‑Tech Full Hybrid 160 pairs a 1.8 Atkinson petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery, delivering 0–100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, 89 g/km CO2 and up to 1,000 km range with up to 80% electric driving in city use.
  • The cabin adds dual 10.1‑inch displays with Google‑integrated OpenR Link, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting with 48 colors and an optional Harman Kardon audio system tuned with Jean‑Michel Jarre.
  • Up to 29 driver‑assistance features are available, including intelligent adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic emergency braking, lane‑keeping correction and driver monitoring with Safety Score and Safety Coach.
  • The car will be built at Oyak Renault’s Bursa plant in Turkey, offered in three trims (Evolution, Techno, Esprit Alpine), and retains practical touches such as a 391‑liter boot and a lowered loading lip, with LPG and 1.2 TCe options complementing the hybrid.
