Renault Unveils Filante Flagship Crossover in Seoul With Busan Production, March Launch

Co-developed in Korea with input from France, the Busan-built model anchors Renault's upmarket global push.

Overview

  • Renault Korea staged the world premiere on Jan. 13 and said deliveries begin in March, with exports to follow in markets including South America and the Middle East.
  • Positioned as a five-seat E-segment flagship, the coupe-like Filante measures 4,915 mm in length and will be manufactured in Busan for global sales.
  • The model uses an upgraded dual-motor hybrid based on a 1.5-liter four-cylinder, rated at about 250 hp with a 1.67 kWh battery for short EV driving and up to 75 percent electric operation in city use, according to the automaker.
  • Renault announced the Techno, Iconic and Esprit Alpine trims at 43.32 million, 46.97 million and 49.72 million won after local tax incentives, a base trim deferred to Q3 2026, and an Alpine 1955 edition limited to 1,955 units at 52.18 million won.
  • Reports indicate the Filante shares underpinnings with the Grand Koleos and a Geely-derived platform, a linkage not exhaustively detailed by Renault.
