Overview
- Renault acquired Nissan’s remaining 51% stake in Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd, making the Chennai facility its sole owned asset and fully consolidating it into the group’s financials.
- The Chennai plant has produced over 2.8 million vehicles and 4.6 million engines and gearboxes since 2010 and can assemble more than 400,000 units annually.
- The facility will host Renault’s new ultra-flexible, multi-energy modular platform to support production of the brand’s upcoming models.
