Renault Names E-Powertrain Chief Nicolas Paris to Lead Korean Unit, Moves Deblaise to India

The change supports Renault’s electrification strategy by placing an e-powertrain specialist in charge of its Korean operations.

Overview

  • Nicolas Paris, Renault Group’s vice president of e-powertrain, battery, connectivity and software, will take over as CEO of Renault Korea Motors Co. on September 1, 2025.
  • Current CEO Stephane Deblaise will relocate to India to head all Renault Group operations there starting on the same date.
  • Paris brings over 20 years of global automotive purchasing and e-mobility leadership, with senior roles at Bosch’s Asia-Pacific unit and within the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.
  • Since March 2022, Deblaise spearheaded the Aurora project at the Busan plant and oversaw the Grand Koleos SUV launch, which has sold more than 45,000 units in South Korea since September 2024.
  • Renault says the executive rotation will bolster localized production, accelerate its electrification push and strengthen its footprint in key Asian markets.
