Renault Kiger Facelift Reaches Buyers With Introductory Pricing and Safety Upgrades

Early reviews judge it better value than the Nissan Magnite at its launch positioning.

Overview

  • Renault has begun deliveries of the refreshed Kiger, with ex-showroom prices starting at about Rs 6.29–6.30 lakh and running to roughly Rs 11.30 lakh on an introductory basis that could change.
  • Six airbags are now standard across the range, and higher trims add features such as a 360-degree camera, front ventilated seats, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
  • Design tweaks include a revised grille, smoked LED tail-lamps, redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels and fresh colours like Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey.
  • Powertrains carry over with a 1.0-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol paired with MT/AMT/CVT options, plus a CNG choice, and Renault says NA variants account for about 60% of demand as AMT availability is pared back to steer buyers to turbo trims.
  • Autocar India’s top-variant comparison finds the Kiger offers more for the money than the Nissan Magnite at current prices, with reviewers also highlighting official accessory packs now listed for factory-backed personalisation.
