Renault Kiger Facelift Launched in India From Rs 6.29 Lakh, Now With Standard Six Airbags

The update prioritizes safety features over mechanical changes.

Overview

  • Renault prices the refreshed sub-4m SUV at Rs 6.29–11.29 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) across four renamed trims — Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion — with limited-time Rs 9.99 lakh offers on Techno CVT and Emotion turbo-MT.
  • Powertrains carry over unchanged: a 1.0-litre NA petrol (5MT, 5AMT) and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (5MT, CVT), with the AMT offered on Evolution/Techno, the turbo manual restricted to Emotion, and the CVT available on Techno and Emotion.
  • Six airbags are now standard across the range as part of a 21-feature safety suite that includes ESC, TPMS, hill-start assist, ISOFIX mounts and three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
  • Feature additions focus on comfort and tech, including ventilated front seats, a 360-degree/multi-view camera, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, wireless charging, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; cabin insulation has been improved.
  • Design tweaks bring a new grille with Renault’s updated logo, revised bumpers and fresh 16-inch dual-tone alloys, along with new Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey paint options; entry pricing rises by about Rs 14,000 versus the outgoing model, with bookings open and deliveries set to begin soon.
