Renault Expands E‑Tech Lineup With Long‑Range Heavy Trucks and All‑Electric Trafic Van

Megawatt charging plus an eight‑year battery guarantee aims to reduce range risk for European fleets.

Overview

  • Renault Trucks launched the E‑Tech T 780 with a 780 kWh pack and 600 km range and the E‑Tech T 585 with a 585 kWh pack and 460 km range, using a rear electric axle to free space for additional batteries and offering payloads up to 28 tonnes.
  • The heavy trucks support Megawatt Charging System up to 720 kW—adding about 350 km during a 45‑minute break—and are compatible with CCS up to 350 kW for depot charging.
  • For urban distribution, the new E‑Tech D12 and D14 use 176 kWh LFP batteries for up to 220 km of range, provide 5.6‑ and 6.7‑tonne payloads, include full air suspension, and charge via a 43 kW onboard AC system.
  • Renault’s Trafic E‑Tech Electric van features an 800‑volt skateboard platform with a 201 hp rear motor, an NMC long‑range option targeting about 450 km WLTP, rapid 10–80% charging in roughly 20 minutes, and V2L/V2G capabilities.
  • Production is allocated to French plants—Bourg‑en‑Bresse for T models, Blainville‑sur‑Orne for D models, and Sandouville for the Trafic from late 2026—backed by Optifleet software, a Serenity Pack, a Driver App, and an eight‑year or 1,000,000 km battery performance guarantee.
