Overview
- Stormind Games announced Tuesday that Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered will release across PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC storefronts in Q1 2027.
- Both titles have been rebuilt from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5 and will use UE5 features such as Lumen dynamic global illumination and higher-resolution assets to enhance lighting, textures and character models.
- The remasters include production upgrades like redesigned user interfaces, reworked in-engine cinematics and 3D audio cues while the developer says core gameplay, mechanics and tension are preserved.
- Stormind says legacy bugs from the original releases have been fixed and stability improved, and existing owners can claim a free upgrade for the first seven days after each remaster’s launch with claiming details to be published closer to release.
- The remasters continue a cult psychological-horror saga that began with Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain, and they arrive as the studio prepares a third main installment slated to appear on current platforms later this year.
