Overview
- Newbury’s parade steps off at 10:30am from Pelican Lane, with the Mayor of Newbury, Councillor David Harman, taking the salute in Mansion House Street before a Market Place service and wreath-laying at the War Memorial.
- A qualified British Sign Language interpreter will be on site in Newbury with guidance on the best viewing area, and service sheets will be available on the day and online.
- Barrow’s procession musters outside Town Hall at 10:20am, reaches the War Memorial in Barrow Park around 10:50am, then observes two minutes’ silence and wreath-laying at 11:00am before dispersing to the Royal British Legion on Holker Street.
- In Grimsby, a 9:30am service at Grimsby Minster precedes a 10:25am parade to the Cenotaph for a short ceremony, with road closures from around 10:00am on Bethlehem Street, Church Lane, Deansgate and Bargate and a coach provided for those unable to walk the route.
- North East Lincolnshire events also include services and parades in Cleethorpes, Immingham, New Waltham, Healing, Waltham and Stallingborough, with timed musters and local road closures and diversions detailed by the council.
