The body of Leo Dufour, a 22-year-old man from Vaudreuil, a suburb west of Montreal, was found off Allen Mountain trail in Essex County, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation confirmed in a statement Sunday.
A multi-agency search for Léo Dufour, 22, was announced last December after he failed to return from a planned one-day hike.
