Remains of Missing Missouri Mother Found in Woods After Six Months

Emily Strite, a 33-year-old mother of four, was last seen on April 12, 2024, leaving a friend's house in De Soto, Missouri.
Her remains were found on September 28 by a property owner near Frissell Road, approximately 45 miles southwest of St. Louis.
The cause of death is currently undetermined, and investigators are working to understand how her body ended up in the wooded area.
There are no suspects or evidence of foul play in Strite's disappearance or death, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
