Remains of Missing Elderly Couple Found at California Nudist Ranch

Neighbor charged with murder after police discover bodies in underground bunker; motive remains unclear

Stephanie and Daniel Menard were reported missing on August 25 from Olive Dell Ranch in Redlands.
Neighbor Michael Royce Sparks, 62, was arrested after a tip-off led police to his home.
Sparks was found in a bunker beneath his house, armed with a rifle that misfired during a suicide attempt.
The Menards' remains were positively identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Sparks faces two counts of felony murder and is being held without bail.
