Overview

• A Boulder Open Space vegetation crew member discovered the remains on Aug. 26 about 150 yards east of the Flatirons Vista Trailhead along Colorado 93.
• The Boulder County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 34-year-old Paul Aragon of Aurora on Aug. 28.
• Officials have not said whether foul play is suspected, and the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
• Aragon was reported missing on May 8 after Broomfield officers found his truck on May 2 running with lights on and his dog inside near the WoodSpring Suites.
• Officers searched the area by foot and drone, found no suspicious evidence, took the dog to a local shelter on May 3, and notified Aragon’s mother.
