Relic Entertainment Announces 'Earth vs. Mars,' a Turn-Based Strategy Game Featuring Genetic Hybrid Units

The new game, inspired by Advance Wars and Mars Attacks, marks the first release from Relic Labs and is set to launch on PC in Summer 2025.

Earth vs. Mars is a turn-based strategy game where players can command Earth's military or Martian forces in battles featuring unique hybrid units created through genetic splicing.
The game includes a single-player campaign with over 30 missions, online multiplayer, a versus mode against AI, and a map editor for custom scenarios.
Players can utilize a 'Splice-O-Tron' mechanic to combine human and animal DNA, creating units like cheetah-flies, squirrel-cows, and rhino soldiers for tactical advantages.
Earth vs. Mars is the first project from Relic Labs, a new initiative allowing the studio to experiment with smaller-scale games alongside its traditional RTS titles.
Relic Entertainment, now an independent studio after separating from Sega, aims to release games more frequently while continuing to support its larger franchises.
