  • Reliance Infrastructure is the first private Indian firm to design and develop four types of 155mm artillery ammunition under DRDO’s Design-cum-Production Partner programme.
  • Development work on all four shell variants has concluded and production can commence immediately with ten domestic suppliers integrated into the supply chain.
  • The company projects Ministry of Defence orders worth Rs10,000 crore over the next decade following forecasts of the Army’s ammunition budget rising to Rs12,000 crore annually by 2032.
  • Reliance forecasts Rs10,000 crore in export revenue over ten years based on the shells’ extended range and precision.
  • A Rs5,000 crore greenfield explosives and ammunition facility at Ratnagiri’s Dhirubhai Ambani Defence City is underway, and a partnership with Germany’s Rheinmetall AG will supply propellants.
