Reliance Consumer Products to Build ₹1,156-Crore FMCG Plant in Tamil Nadu

  • Industries Minister TRB Rajaa announced that RCPL will set up an integrated unit at the SIPCOT Allikulam Industrial Park in Thoothukudi.
  • The project spans 60 acres and is slated to produce regional snacks, biscuits, spices, wheat flour and edible oils.
  • The company projects more than 2,000 direct jobs within five years, with additional indirect employment through suppliers and services.
  • The move follows Reliance’s decision to restructure its consumer products business as a direct subsidiary to sharpen focus on FMCG.
