- Industries Minister TRB Rajaa announced that RCPL will set up an integrated unit at the SIPCOT Allikulam Industrial Park in Thoothukudi.
- The project spans 60 acres and is slated to produce regional snacks, biscuits, spices, wheat flour and edible oils.
- The company projects more than 2,000 direct jobs within five years, with additional indirect employment through suppliers and services.
