Reliance and HDFC Lead Rs 2.24 Lakh Crore Weekly Loss Across India’s Top Companies

  • The combined market value of eight of the ten most valuable Indian companies fell by Rs 2,24,630.45 crore over the week.
  • Reliance Industries lost Rs 70,707.17 crore to Rs 18.36 lakh crore, while HDFC Bank declined by Rs 47,482.49 crore to Rs 14.60 lakh crore.
  • ICICI Bank (-Rs 27,135.23 crore), Bharti Airtel (-Rs 24,946.71 crore) and LIC (-Rs 23,655.49 crore) recorded the next-largest weekly drops.
  • State Bank of India (-Rs 12,692.10 crore), Bajaj Finance (-Rs 10,471.08 crore) and Infosys (-Rs 7,540.18 crore) also declined as the Sensex fell 1,497 points, or 1.84 percent.
  • TCS gained Rs 11,125.62 crore and Hindustan Unilever added Rs 7,318.98 crore, with the top-10 ranking unchanged and Reliance still the most valuable.
