Registration Opens for Michoacán’s D4TA Free Student Mobile Data Program

The rollout aims to narrow the digital divide by providing six months of CFE mobile data to public high‑school as well as university students.

Overview

  • Individual signup runs Feb. 25 to Mar. 8 at data.michoacan.gob.mx, requiring CURP and a school enrollment number.
  • The state targets 160,000 beneficiaries across public bachilleratos, technological institutes and universities, including UMSNH, Colegio de Bachilleres and CECyTEM.
  • Registered students will receive CFE SIM cards Mar. 17–27 at their schools, the Morelia convention center or designated municipal delivery sites.
  • Each line provides 4 GB every 30 days for six months, plus unlimited social networks and unlimited calls and texts between CFE numbers.
  • To collect a SIM, students must present ID and CURP; minors need guardian documentation; UMSNH students must show proof of enrollment, and numbers will port to the CFE network with antenna deployments planned in low‑coverage areas.
