Overview

• Deputies responded around 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 19 to the 40000 block of Winchester Road after a juvenile reported a sexual assault.
• Detectives learned an adult had been assaulted less than two hours earlier at a business in the 20000 block of Ynez Road.
• Authorities identified the suspect as 30-year-old Jacob Paulsen of Perris and took him into custody later that evening after serving a search.
• Paulsen, an active sex registrant on parole for a previous sexual assault, was booked on suspicion of lewd acts with a minor, sexual battery, indecent exposure, and violating parole.
